Mats obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemistry at Radboud University where he helped developing an autonomous system for surface tension measurements. Driven by a passion for chemistry and automation, Mats joined the RobotLab as a PhD candidate in 2026. His research focuses on developing new systems to accelerate chemical formulation and analytical testing, specifically within complex aqueous systems.
