Kate obtained her Specialist degree in Fundamental and Applied Chemistry from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia, in 2023. During her studies, she worked on research projects in organic synthesis and metal–organic frameworks. Before starting her PhD at Radboud University, she spent two years in the Semenov group (Weizmann Institute, Israel), focusing on systems chemistry. In 2025, she joined the Big Chemistry consortium under supervision of Wilhelm Huck to study complex molecular systems. In her research she aims to translate chemical information processing into functional chemical response.
